Hi, I'm Shahnaz

With over a decade of experience working with young talent and leaders across countries and cultures, I founded Youth Compass with a mission to empower leaders and young talent to thrive together and learn that generational differences are not an obstacle, they are a source of strength.

But before Youth Compass was even an idea, my own journey was shaped by struggle, curiosity, and a series of moments that changed everything.

Over the past decade, across three continents, I've worked with young people and leaders, delivering thousands of hours of one-to-one coaching, workshops, and keynotes. I've supported people into promotions and leadership roles, helped them build their own businesses, and move from drifting to living with clarity, direction, and purpose.

My first work with young people was 12 years ago, supporting disadvantaged students through education and career programs. I still remember one student who wanted to leave school. With the right support and guidance, that same student later received a full scholarship to study at university and went on to build her own career.

Working with both youth and leaders, I kept seeing the same gap: young people with strong technical backgrounds struggling due to gaps in skills such as communication, emotional intelligence, and self-leadership. And leaders who struggled to navigate generational differences. That is where I decided to step in, bridge the gap, and empower both leaders and young talent to thrive together.
